22 May 2013, I had another opportunity to bring our Curtin Advertising final year students to Dentsu for an outfield trip to meet Fred Eng (Business Group Head & Director of Business Operations).
Fred, my ex-colleague and senior back in my Saatchi days. Anyone who had worked with Fred before would definitely miss working with him again for he would probably be the best people’s person you have ever met. After the meet & greet session with Fred, I am very tempted to join his team and work under his leadership again.
When asked about career advice for fresh grads, here are some of the key learning I have gathered below:
1) When apply for a role in Marketing:
a. your CV must be special
b. be sincere
2) When you got the job, you must:
a. make your immediate superior looks good
b. be able to adapt
