On 14 Jan, Students of Curtin Ad391 make a trip to Golden Village at Dhoby Ghaut for a meet and greet session with two of our Curtin ex-students, Eunice Nicole Lim (Marketing Executive of GV) and Melissa (from MEC – part of GroupM).
This would be a real eye opener for the students to get some insights into the difference between life as a client VERSUS life in the agency. Based on the conversation between them, here are some career insights that could get you ahead.
Which career path suits you best, would largely depend on your passion.
If you prefer to have slightly more say in your marketing campaign, be a client. You will get involved with the big picture of things.
If you prefer to focus only one aspect of the marketing activity, and be a specialist, agency life might suit you better.
Both are aspiring career paths with equal progression opportunities.
