This would be my last update on 2015 Strongerhead Classes at Kaplan (Curtin class updates will only happened in Fen 2016).
Another quarter has passed, and we are now into the countdown mood for X’Mas and 2016’s arrival.
Before 2015 comes to an end, I would love to upload some of the way overdue class photos, and also taking this chance to reflect all the Ups and Downs in the last 3 months of my teaching assignments.
There is a take away from Romance of the Three Kingdom. If you wish to walk the talk successfully, you have to see if the king is interested in your talk. If not, even the most capable general will not taste success without the blessing of his king.
My Kings and Queens are my students. And I have been blessed to have a handful of them (I wish I could say EVERYONE of my students someday), plus a few Kaplan academic staffs who stood by me through thick and thin during my last challenging quarter of 2015. They have allowed me to stay true to my belief that a good education is to teach in compelling and informative ways that empower students to use their educations to build careers and lives. Couldn’t have done what I have been doing without your blessings and positive learning attitude.
There is no better time to thank all of my ex-students, and students of 2015.

Relative quiet bridging class as compared to BComm28. But their seriously in learning can be evident in all other areas making up for their passiveness in class.

Kaplan Full Time Hospitality Tourism Management intake 25 class for Marketing Principles
A relatively big class of over 80 students. Unfortunately, I am only able to convince less than 50% of them to take the class photo with me. I have to admit, the 1st 3 lessons have been a challenge. But I guess we all come to terms with it and somehow, it turns out to be an enjoyable class towards the end. Special thanks to the Gucci team powered by the eye brown girl – Channel, Jennifer’s XiaoMi’s team, Dharma, and Justin (I have to thank Justin again for very sincere and down to earth testimonial).
“Hi Mr.Jason, tomorrow (15 Dec 2015) is Marketing Exam already and honestly although the majority of the class is probably rude to you, there are some of us who truly appreciate you man. Like no joke, we appreciate you legitimately and we respect you because despite us being disrespectful, you never gave up on us haha! Especially your PRE-XMAS Present (the project guide).
Thank you so much for teaching us. One hell of a lecturer and speaker.
You said you are low in EQ so most of the time you have no one to eat with during lunch. Are you sure Mr Jason? Haha. Because you are damn good at capturing attention and making learning interesting.
Thank you once again. Haha. If you do not know me, I\’m one of the guys in Adidas X15.1 HTM 25. Go pursue your dreams! You can do it. Mr Jason, all the best to your dream of becoming a public speaker. You are damn good in it I also wonder how. When my group, Adidas X15.1 tried to present, haha we were trying to be as good as you and as interesting as you when you are teaching.” by Justin
To your future students, they\’re going to meet an awesome and inspiring lecturer/teacher/speaker.
Kaplan Full Time Mass Communications Intake 25 class for Marketing Principles
The class was made memorable by the Condom’s team with the kai xin guo Elene, and not forgetting Yong Long’s PS4 team, and the impressive BMW team powered by Markov and Taktsune, the group of Victoria Secret girls’ sweetener, Sunny and Danial, the G-shock team who managed to shocked me a few times, and our fashion accessories teams from Nike, Apple, H&M and Casio.
Here’s what Yong Long has to say about the class below. What about you guys? Anything to add on?
“Never imagine having an interesting lecturer like Jason! Most of the lecturers that have taught us only read through the study guide. But not with StrongerHead ! Jason would research on some interesting examples to help us better understand some of the more complex topics. Sometime even share his life experience to let us get a clearer picture on how the theories can be applicable to our daily lives, His undying humor also helped to ease the tension in class, creating a more down to earth and friendly classroom environment. Whenever we\’re having doubt or trouble with some topics, he would make sure all of us fully understand it before moving on to the next topic. Amazing to know such great lecturer around ! Thank you. Although you had only taught us for a short period of time, but we sure have had a great time! Cya in school or best teach us all our remaining module!”
Kaplan Full Time Mass Communications intake 27 class for Marketing Principles
Three words to describe this class, “Small but Fun” class size of 38. Very good dynamics of different nationalities, and interesting students mix of varying characters.
Big thanks to Vivi Yap and Han Tong for giving me your time to put some comments on my website.
“Mr Jason always made the class very interesting and fun ,attending his class is ever boring! Thank you so much for sharing with us different stories just to let us understand better ! Thank you so much teacher !” by Han Tong
“Mr Jason is the best lecturer in Kaplan by far. I’ve enjoyed the lessons, he’s really humorous. I believe that every student will feel the same if he keep up with the positive vibe and humor. Thank you Mr Jason for teaching us in the most interesting way and may your next class be better than ours LOL! ^^” by Vivi Yap
University Colleague Dublin (UCD) BBSMKT22 class for Marketing Communications and Digital Marketing
It is my first UCD class, and finally, I get to teach marketing communications and digital marketing topic, one of my favour topic to teach. This is a huge class size of 89 students. But this time around, I had managed to get over 50% of the students to take the class photo with me on our very last lesson.
Thanks Jia Yi and Athena for your kind words:
“Jason is my marketing teacher. He is very humorous in class, so the class atmosphere is very good. My schoolmates can follow his rhythm. Jason looks very young, but he has enough social and work experience. He warn us that we will always face rejections, but he shared with us many ways how to solve these problems. I would also consider Jason as our life instructor whom one can depend on for both work and studies related matters.
“Jason is very interesting in class. It can be said that he is a most interesting teacher in my university (University Colleague Dublin) . He is very good at giving examples to help students understand the marketing communications concepts better. He once mentioned that choosing potential customer is like choosing boyfriend to help us understand the importance of marketing and the concept of targeting – customer selection). Besides, he is able to promote the class atmosphere making you listen to him and and dropping thoughts of sneaking off.
Jason is meticulous when it comes to assignments. He would not mind telling us steps and requirements of the assignments in an explicit manner. If you have any problems, you can ask Jason, and he will seriously answer you. He is a very good and patient person. If schoolmates put forward the same problems, you can count on him to help address your concerns and issues.
Jason’s notes are very special, with pictures sometimes. These pictures can make students like me whose mother language is not English, and yet still about to simply understand the meaning.
Jason is the most interesting teacher I have ever met in my university, Hope he can be our teacher in next term.” by Jia Yi
“You’re never get bored in his class! You will laugh all the way and always be happy in his class! Most importantly, his teaching techniques really inject smoothly all the knowledge that students need to have for their modules! Thumbs up!” by Athena
“Coffee are unnecessary when attending Strongerhead classes. As all the classes in my module that Mr Jason is teaching are all morning class, we bound to drink coffee to keep ourself awake right? But Mr Jason is such an interesting and energetic guy that i am asking myself whether am i older than him? On serious note, his aura/ energy is contagious. It helps everyone in the class to be so full of energy. He is one of the best lecturer and best learning experience that I had. Thank you Mr Jason!” by Eugene wang
