This is the first post in six month, and the last post in 2014. I am really sorry for the long wait for numerous students who have been waiting for their photos to be uploaded. It is definitely my bad. Poor time management.
But honestly, I have been swamped with classes and work and more work. Practically working non-stop for 2014. (It is a good problem to have because at least, I know I am making a living. Plus I am really doing what I enjoy doing, especially in the last 4 years). Finally, I am taking a little breather for X’mas week. Heading to Penang for a family trip (my first in last 10 years). I realised how much I had neglected my family, my friends, and myself. In 2015, some changes will be made in hope to pay more attention to my love ones, my health, and back to working on my life goals.
First big change, and this is a HUGE surprising change for myself. I am shock by my decision too, and it is a hard and challenging one which took me almost a year to make. I am taking a break from teaching with effect from mid Feb 2015, before CNY. I can’t say that I am quitting, because my passion for teaching is so great that I don’t think I am ever going to be able to stop teaching. But I am going back into the corporate world hoping to make another mark in my new role. And that doesn’t permit me to teach for now until I am fully in control of my work timing and schedules. Will see if I am able to continue with some teaching again when that day comes. Having said that, I would love to continue with guest lecturing, being keynote speakers and perform training and give talks for schools and companies whenever the timing permits.
Since my last post in June 2014, I have not updated any of my classes and that has made me feel really lousy. I wanted to upload all the outstanding photos before X’mas, and take the opportunity to say BIG THANK YOU to you all. Without you, I would be able to do the thing I really enjoy doing, which is to TEACH (and hopefully to INSPIRE in the process also lah).
It was unfortunate for me that I wasn’t able to take on any modules with PSB. I wish to also thank them for their continuous support and faith in me.
Here are the THREE schools (Kaplan, MIS and Curtin) where I have loads of photos to feature. Let’s begin with Curtin.
Since June 2014 at Curtin:
These were my last few batch of students that i had managed to teach before i end my time at Curtin.
– Advertising Principles (Ad211)
– Account Planning (Ad340)
– Campaign Development (Ad391)
– Media Planning 250
Honestly, it ended “prematurely” as i had actually expected to have 2 more classes at least in Dec 2014, which would have allowed me to see some of my students to the finishing line for their degree journey.
Here’s a parting video done up by students of Campaign Development Sept 2014. Some of you might have already seen this video already on my FB as these students tagged me as they uploaded the video. Watching this video again makes me teary but i am dearly touched lor.
Since Jun 2014 at MIS Marketing Institute Singapore:
I am glad to be teaching two of my most competent modules at MIS. I can never forget Mickey for offering me the chance to teach. He has been instrumental to my teaching career and i will be forever grateful to him. Here are some of the photos taken for several marketing communications classes for our Diploma students (DSMM) and Digital Direct Marketing (DDM) classes for University of Western England (UWE). For the DDM class, it was literally my finale at MIS. I will be back to give a talk in January 2015 on how to study for your exam. Hope to see some of you again.
Since June 2014 at Kaplan:
Last but not least, my class photos at Kaplan.
I would like to pen off by wishing everyone a happiest and merriest X’mas as well as a good to great 2015 ahead.
Endless Strongerhead Cheers to all and will post my last few classes of 2015 updates before CNY.
